is news time at Lower 40!  We know.  So here it is…….Chris Unck is back out on the road with Butch Walker serving as his jack of all trades.  He brought it home last night on a sweet new Fender at the bands rehearsal space.  A small crowd of us gathered to enjoy a show and did we ever!  Unck is finally finishing up his latest work that will be offered to people soon.  We are ready to get it to you.  So just hang on a little bit longer….more details soon.  We swear.

Night Driving has been playing like dogs, very talented ones we might add, all over Atlanta meeting so many new folks.  Thanks to everyone who came out to Smith’s, WonderRoot, and Masquerade over the last few weeks.  We do appreciate ya!  The band has a show at Kavarna next on May 29.  They are working on their new album and are putting together some new tracks that we will hopefully share with you soon.  And keep an eye out for some video of the recording process that is full of antics and work.

And mark June 17 down in your calendar.  You have a date with both Chris Unck and the Black Roses as well as Night Driving in Small Towns over at the Earl.  8pm.

And if you love to hang posters, email us at contact@lower40records.com.  We could use some more hands!  Thanks!!!

News time!!!

Last night, the Lower 40 crew ventured out into the Atlanta night for the 500 Songs for Kids benefit.  We saw things both great and small.  And were entertained by many of Atlanta’s gems.  Passionate songs were a plenty thanks to this year’s theme.  From “Ohio” to “Man Eater”, well who could have asked for more?  Night Driving brought the passion with “California Dreaming” and we were in awe of its beauty.

Next for Night Driving is a show on Thursday, May 7 at Masquerade.  Tickets are only $8 if you purchase them before the show.    Email us at contact@lower40records.com for more info.  Tickets are $10 at the door.  The line up has been changing, but we do know that Jeremy Ezell and the Well Reds will be performing for sure.  This will definitely be a rockin’ night for some local bands to show their stuff.  Come on out!!!!!
