Happy Holidays!!!

Lower 40 is gearing up for a little down time for the holdiays. We will be scattered about, enjoying time with our families. From South America to Tennessee, we will be eating some killer food and seeing folks we haven't seen in ages. We hope all of you will enjoy yours as well.

Here's something that makes a most wonderful stocking stuffer....a Chris Unck and the Black Roses review in Skyscraper Magazine! The issue is out now at places like Barnes and Noble, Borders, and other fine establishments. Pick it up and enjoy!

New things for you......

Greetings all!!!

Let's first off thank all of the folks who came out to Chris Unck and the Black Roses' show at Vinyl on Friday night. The set was wonderful and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Now on to the news.......Men's Fitness has chosen Wrinkle Neck Mules gem "Mecklenburg County" as a track to exercise to. Along with bands like Kaiser Cheifs and My Morning Jacket, the Mules make you want to get your run on. Check out the article here.

And we are pleased to bring you a video that is sure to melt your face off! Check out the sick guitar battle between Wrinkle Neck Mules' Mason Brent and Son's of Bill's Sam Wilson. The battle is epic so be advised that your mind might just be blown completely.

Yeehawwwwww

Its a new week and we are all trying to regain our strength after a stellar holiday weekend. Its been tough, but I think we are going to make it. Here is what is in store for everyone over the next couple of weeks. Hope you can keep up. There is going to be a test.

First off, on Friday, December 5th, that's this Friday everyone! Chris
Unck and the Black Roses are going to be playing at Vinyl in Atlanta. In celebration of Glen Pridgen's birthday, the guys as well as The Beggar's Guild and others are going to pack the place out. All of the money raised is going to Children's Heatlhcare Networks. This is going to be an unforgettable night that will be capped off with an all star jam session.

Wrinkle Neck Mules are making their annual appearance at Kefi for their Make A Wish Fundraiser. If you are around Wilmington, North Carolina then you should make a point to stop by and show some love. Raise some money for the kids and rock out with the Mules....now that's how to spend an evening. Also, for the fine folks of Charleston, SC, you are in for a very, very special treat! Andy and Mason will be playing a set at the Billy Reid store to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House. Andy and Mason acousitc is quite a rare occurance. I would suggest you not miss this one. And again, you can help raise some money for folks in need! So get out there and support the Mules and a couple charities that need our help. For more info go to www.wrinkleneckmules.com

That' all for now. Keep an ear peeled for more next week!

Mules couture?!?!?!

Yes, you heard us correctly. Fashion designer and avid Wrinkle Neck Mules fan, Billy Reid, has created a custom t shirt in honor of our beloved Mules. Muchas gracias Billy!!! You can get more info on Billy Reid and his creations at www.billyreid.com or click the pic below. (He also did a Drive By Truckers shirt which is pretty rad too). And yes, those letters ARE fuzzy. Dig it.

An ACTION PACKED week at Lower 40

Tours are starting, free songs are appearing for download, and we could not be happier! Chris Unck hits the road this week with Butch Walker. On this tour, Chris is going to be offering up his usual lap steel tricks and now adds his backing vocals as well as some electric guitar action on more songs in the set. The first show is in our hometown and on Monday night. The show is sold out, but if you hang around the venue long enough, you might be able to get in. Fingers crossed. Some people may feel the need to take matters into their own hands. For the record, we don't condone the behavior noted below, although we are moved by the passion of behind act.

If you were at the Star Bar in Atlanta on Saturday night (which luckily no one had to streak for tickets to get in), we thank you. Chris Unck and the Black Roses played a sweet set in between Birmingham's Thirteen Ghosts and Atlanta's own, The Sun Dogs. If you missed it, you should try to get out on December 5 at Vinyl in Atlanta or November 29 at Bigg Daddy's in Helen, Georgia. You have to see this live.

We will soon be giving away a free download for you lucky cats! Chris Unck and the Black Roses are working on a new record and this is going to be the first track we are giving away. The offer will be for a limited time. Check back for more details soon.
